Title: Zero Bit Mute
Post by: leftkidney on February 17, 2007, 01:38:00 AM
I know I have asked this before but no one understands what I am talking about

in XBMC if I set the audio to Digital it get the zero bit mute that almost all digital inputs have

the problem   when I go up and down and navigate XBMC it makes sounds. great!   but if it is set to Digital (so I can play AC3 files in 5.1 not PCM) it will mute the sound after just 1 sec or less causing there to be only half or less of the sound to be herd   the red light from the optical port turns off after the sound has been made   but cant turn on fast enough

could someone please please please build something into XBMC to keep a constant bit flow of non audiable sound   ie under 2hz so no subwoffer would play it   or over 30hkz so no tweater would play it

all thats neaded is something to keep the red light in the optical port from turning off   like data going through it    it can be anything so long as the light stays on the xero bit mute wont happen

is this not a problem for other people? WTF?  I know those sounds are nothing but atleast they should work correctly
