I recently bought a Linksys NSLU2, just to serve media files so I can watch/listen to them under xbmc without having to boot up the computer they are stored under.
It has caused one small problem to appear: files or directories that have accented characters in the name are not read from the NSLU2, but there are from either a PC or Mac. The PC and Mac can read the directories from the NSLU2, but the Xbox can't.
For instance:
smb://nslu2/Media/Music/Beyoncé
Works fine on the Mac/PC, but gives an NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND error under xbmc.
smb://pc/Music/Beyoncé
Works fine on the Xbox.
So, obviously, the NSLU2 does something slightly different with the accented characters.
Any ideas?

I'm not sure if it came across correctly, but other directories that don't have extended characters are fine, so I know that it is a problem with the accents.

What version of SMB does your linksys use?
You may want to check http://www.faqs.org/docs/samba/ch11.html and read the internationalization section and see if anything there helps.
