Title: Xbox Web Server?
Post by: rich568117 on May 24, 2005, 02:35:00 PM
Just wondering if anyone has heard of a project to turn the xbox into a web server? I am currently using apache on my PC with PHP and mysql, and thought how cool would it be if I was able to just plug in one of my xbox's and use that instead!
If there is a project already someone please point me in the right direction. If not anyone interested in starting one? LOL

Apparently the Gentoox (Gentoo linux for xbox) website has been hosted from an xbox running Gentoox  for 600+ days!

Number of posts != N00b-status.
Number of posts == newbee-status (newbee as in: new to the scene)

N00b != newbee

By the way, any post which begins, ends or contains the word 'LOL' for no reason cannot be taken seriously *looks at start post*.

Also, saying that you are not a n00b often make people think you are.

Linux + Apache sounds like the best solution. If you go for speed + features, try xDSL with Apache.

well, i know this is a couple months late, but....lets try this equation shall we?....
   taking the time out of your miserable life to bash on a kid who just has a question= you being an asshole.  (and i like how i have 3 posts here, but that makes me no n00b)  your amount of posts means nothing to me.

XBMC have a full webserver included. (Based on Goahead webserver)

http://webserver.goa...r/webserver.htm

Read the xbmc online manual for how to turn it on etc...

nitro's right. please don't talk in perl. why not just prevent being a dickhead by simply including what's below [on-topic]? do you think you could do that?
