Title: Pal-60 Hz Dvd Player?
Post by: total_ass on April 15, 2005, 01:44:00 PM
hey i posted this in the audio/video tech forum a couple of weeks ago but no one seemed to be able to help me.

i'm aware of the multi-region capabilities of dvdx2, and xbmc, as well as the ability to patch the MS dash to be region-free.

however in order for NTSC movies to be viewed at the correct speed on a PAL xbox/TV, 60hz needs to be enabled for the framerates to match (30fps) and there to be no stutter/jerkyness.

as it stands, only xbmc can play in PAL-60 mode, and does its multi-region job well. but as much as i like xbmc, its dvd functionality is lacking at the moment. is there a way of patching dvdx2 or the MS dash to force PAL-60 during dvd playback?

bump.

surely someone knows if there is a 60hz player or not.

if not, then i'll just wait for xbmc dvd support.
