k, got it running... understand it......

just wanna know a couple things

1) best way to make an auto shotgun that does the shotgun blast..... ive tried several ways that work but they dont shoot like a shotgun.....

2) some good combos.... like making this gun shoot this ammo and stuff.... im new to it so i dont know all that shit....

3) do i have to have it running on all the xboxs on a LAN for it to work? or only on one?

not sure about your first question. as for the second, just experiment. you'll find you can do a lot of cool stuff with hce. and for the third question, if you want to have all the xbox's at your lan running mods, they'll all have to be running them. otherwise the boxes will de-sync.

k been playtesting with friends and found some cool stuff....

the tank round is good for other weapons

and shotgun or assualt rifle is the best weapon to change the rounds on....

a shotgun shoots 14 bullets so thats 14 rockets, or sniper or tank or whatever....

since the shotgun shoots 14 shots of one, not one shot of 14 you cant "paste" the shotgun onto another gun.... it just shoots one shot, so its like a normal gun.... man.... we just made some kick ass levels.....

also.... how do you make a ppf patch file from a cache file? because that seems like teh easiest way to save settings to put at any time instead of reentering them after i want to play a different mod on that level....

well ive been playtesting it a while the x menu is really good... im also thinking there is a way to make the guns shoot faster, making the autoshotgun ive always dreamed of, haven't got that yet..... what is really fun is getting a big map like hanger (its a hacked new one) and making all guns shoot rockets.... hell thats fun on any level....

also.... in campaign maps you can make the masterchief jump higher using x on the biped menu, but on mutliplayer maps the biped menu is nonexistant.... any help?

too true that there is no biped menu, but if you take a moment and look, there is a "master chief" listing at the bottom of the projectiles menu.  X menu that and it's the same as in the biped menu.  I have no idea why it ended up there but it did.  Sometimes it's fun to assign it as a projectile to something like the plasma pistol.  It spawns dummy MC's (they have no ai).  You can build impresivly tall towers of them and blow them up with a rocket shotgun.

3) More bad news.  It won't work between boxes.  I've tried everything I can think of to no avail.  Tha xbox gives an error something to the effect of "lost sync with other xbox" and they disconnect. dry.gif Oh well, have fun blasting people on four player.

sorry to say that your wrong,  i have done it between xboxes many time with ramps and flying whatever your settings have to be EXACTLY the same and then it will not go out of sync!

thats ok, i found out about it today from a freind who doesnt know the difference between a hdd and a power supply (im exagerating of course, but you get the general idea)

its much better than doing the physical hex editing then ftping it onto your xbox
