Title: Flashfxp Ftp From My Pc To Another Xbox

There you go then. If he's running through a hub, you can't connect to the IP his HUB assigns (or his XBox has been set to), as this is different to his IP his internet is connected to.

The only way you can access it - as far as I'm aware - is if he sets his XBox's FTP to be the same IP as his ISP gives him. Easy if he has a static IP - hard if it's dynamic.

I really do not think this would work by making the IP the one provided by the ISP.

Main thing being his xbox is connected to a hub, not a router, so he would be using Internet Connection Sharing, making it a non local IP would stop the PC from seeing the XBOX, and therfor the xbox will not be able to see the internet.

Does anyone know if said techinque would work even with a roughter, i really have my reservations.

What you want to do is look into (Google) network tunneling software, he would run it on his PC and you would run it on yours, effectivley stitching both your networks together (meaning you would probably have to have compatable network settings (Workgroup name, IP addresses....etc))

Do not confuse, Network tunneling software with Xbox network tunneling software (e.g. XBConnect & Xlink) theese use the same principles, but are designed for system link games only.

but I cant get in with mine using the same IP and password

Sounds like you have dynamic DCHP IP allocation. Almost every box will have a different IP address!

Use EvoX or some other tool to display the current IP address of the box before trying to FTP.

I've did this before through a router. I loaded MXM onto a friend's Xbox and he didn't know how to add games to the menu. I just made him forward port 21 on the router to his Xbox's internal LAN IP. I logged into his Xbox remotely without any problems. I haven't tried it through a hub. I suggest connecting the modem directly to the Xbox and giving it the IP that the ISP assigns. As long as the port is set to 21, and you're using the correct username and password, it should work just fine.

Another simple method if you are using a router is to go into the router config, (Probably 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254 in IE) and enter the ip the router gave to the xbox into the DMZ.  This may be unedr advanced settings.
