Title: Quake 2x And Duke3dx Not Working
Post by: Gus Man on February 15, 2004, 04:08:00 PM
I am using the X2 4891 bios with a 1.5 Xbox and can't get Quake 2x or Duke3Dx working. Every other prgram works fine including Quake X. Is there issues with these games and X2 4891 bios?

Yea I had this same problem too. I didnt find out what was wrong. But I did find a version of Q2 that was like 200mb and burned it to a CD and it works. I got it using BT.

Yeah I thought mine didnt work for awhile but it just has really wierd, freaky controls. Are you sure it doesn't work or do you just not know how to pull up the menu?? When you run the mod does it say press A then go to a video of someone playing it??? If so then all you have to do is hit like back or push a thumb stick or something to pull up the menu.

I have quake2x and it works fine. Initially, I didn't realize that you needed the actual game disc (duh). I happened to have the actual game disc, so I just installed the game on my pc, added the .xbe files to it, then copied it to my xbox.

It's awesome. I loved it on PC years ago, and it's pretty fun on xbox too. I have heard that it locks up after so long, but I have yet to experience that. I wonder if you can join a regular q2 network game with it?
