Title: Changing Mac Address With Configmagic

My roommate's Xbox got banned from Live because he was an idiot and didn't turn autologin off, so I let him use my EEPROM to go on Live since I have no plans to.  However, now our Xboxes get the same IP from the apartment's DHCP server.  So basically, my question is can I change the MAC address to any damn address I want to and it will still work fine, or are we stuck until we get a new EEPROM from someone else to replace one of ours?

just found a bit of software on xbins that will restore the eeprom from a previous evox backup called eepromagic. ran it, restored the eeprom, rebooted and it's now coming up with error 13, your xbox requires service....

not really sure what to do now, but this might help you if it doesn't stuff your box like it has so far done to mine.
