It also has some excellent features especially if your linked to a Broadband service.. (streaming Xbox news, IRC, downloadable skins, ACAM online! , Update dash online, Download game saves) and it looks the dogs danglers too!!! The best Dash by miles IMHO..
If you cant be arsed with that then try XBFTP

I've tried using XBFTP on one xbox and evox as the server on the other xbox. I have assigned each xbox its own IP but when I fire them both up, evox doesn't find an IP for them. If I plug them both into a router with their evox assigned IP's, then they both boot up with an IP.
I have tried to xfer between the 2 xboxes using the router an FlashFXP as the initiating client and that works partially... it will begin a transfer but it won't tranfer ALL the files. Always misses some files. Any reason for this? If I go PC to xbox using FlasFXP, it works flawlessly finding all files.
I want to find a way to either go xbox to xbox with a crossover and no router or PC or... go 2 xboxes in the router and use SOMETHING that will send all files. Any ideas?

I modded the xml for Avalaunch so that is no essentially an FTP app ONLY. You need Avalaunch on both boxes. edit the xml or use internal config to assign your static IPs. Then boot Avalaunch on both boxes. From one box only run File Manager. Hit start and you should see the IP or a list of Ip's or box names in the right column. Highlight the one you want to access and it A. First access the folder on the destination box in the left column then select what you want from the remote box in the right column press X to place in the queue. Put as much as you want in the queue then hit start then transfer queue. Have a cup of tea.

the xbox media player ftp in my opinon is the best for doing xbox to xbox. avalaunch would constantly crash on me.. xbox media player wouldnt.

avalaunch => avalaunch after 0.48.0 will never crash during transfer. The innerloops is 5 lines of code.

I have to agree with you guys about Avalaunch. This is what I found:
Xbox FTP Client to EvoX: less than 1 MB/sec (typically) Avalaunch to Avalaunch: 10 MB/sec!!
The other cool thing about Avalaunch is that it can detect the other Xbox, so you don't even have to enter its IP!
On crossover cables:
If you're using a crossover cable, it'll work, but you have to reboot a few times in order to be able to detect the link. The best way is probably this:
1. Connect Xbox A to Xbox B with a crossover cable. 2. Make sure Avalaunch is configured for two different IPs on the two machines. 2. Boot Xbox A. It will not be able to detect a link. 3. Boot Xbox B. It should be able to detect the link and grab its IP. 4. Reboot or relaunch Avalaunch on Xbox A. It should also be able to grab its IP. 5. If not, reboot each machine again, one at a time. 6. Transfer.
This should also work with Xbox FTP Client and xToolBox (with EvoX if you want). The same even goes for PCs if you ever connect them through a crossover cable -> Reboot until it connects. The "Repair" option in XP may also work.
