That's awsome, I am supposed to be aquiring a 1200 soon, my last one was ripped off, which was strange cause they left my 1Ghz PC behnd and settled on the system you can't get software for. smile.gif

Ok I tried it, it is AWSOME and almost everything I dreamed of, but...

...I can not control Rick very well using the Analog, is there a way to switch the controls to the D Pad, I did not see this in the docs. Sorry to complain but I must.

Could you PLEASE possibly add in the option to select controls, or release an alternate version for people like me??!!

Seriously, this is an AWSOME PORT, but I have so much trouble, jumping and crawling when I don't mean to, plus it would be great to be able to play this with a Joystick like in the old days.

I'll have to download the PC version again and see if it was like this...

...been a while.

If not then I am sure Lantus will have it fixed before long. So strange though, 700 some Mhz 64Mb or RAM, and Rick lags. smile.gif

theres a speed switch in the code that i might need to fiddle with, ill check it out. I suspect the SDL rendering code isnt that great and the gp32 guys rewrote it to suit their needs.

I"ve heard that the SDL libs is some what of a resource hog, then again Bero showed off a few Demos on the Dreamcast with his port of it, and things ran REALLY well, infact he claimed he did not have to change the source code to PrBoom to get it to run!??! Funky.

How is that Gamepad optimization coming anyhow, and will I be able to configure my button Lay out?

Also when should we expect a release date on that and Duke? You see Jedi Academy REALLY REALLY made me depressive, now I am considering suicide as my next option in this dull and meaningless existence, unless of course you act as the light in the darkness, and save my poor soul from this uneccesarry torment. smile.gif

He owns an AMiga 3000 which he still uses, how much more of a "real" Amiga fan do you want?

As for Keyboard and Mouse, well it has that, Lantus (it was you right) added in the mouse support as a matter of fact.

What it really needs though is Picasso, and JIT.

Ya if someone had the time and know how to make an XBOX port as advanced as the WInblows port, we'd be in luck! Direct support for the Ethernet port, DVD-ROM, ect. Ya that would be kool, I'd dump Linux and its bloated dead ass off my hard drive in a heart beat!

I never knew the HDF files were slow to read? ... it's not just a matter of de-fragging within UAE? or does the xbox have a real problem handling them over and above winblows? I've been intending to create a HDF and drag my hundreds of Mb of installed stuff (currently in windows directories) to the HDF just so I could try it out on my xbox.

Sorry to drag off topic, but I can't think of Rick Dangerous without thinking of my Amiga smile.gif
