* encoding codec not to only ogg (perhaps using codecs like does XBMP and let the user choose one o them), |

* encoding video should be great but xb cpu cant really handle this kind of features so do whatever u want... |

* IMDB support with XBMP thumbails auto filling, |

| I would like to see a status bar or something of that sort. Maybe just something simple of percent complete. Mainly one for progress of entire rip, but file by file would work too. And if possible a estimated time till complete. I know this was said before but it would be very nice to have. |

If we could choose the name of the game. Something to give you the name as it would normally appear in evox but let you edit it if you want. |

| QUOTE (chilin_dude @ Sep 28 2003, 06:08 PM) |
2. Rip dvd's to xvid or some codec... i feel this would be one of the best progs invented for the xbox because at the moment i can never be bothered leaving my pc to rip a dvd to xvid for like 5 hours. However i would happily leave my xbox alone for 10 hours to wait for it to encode it... |

| Great job with the 0.4.8, seems to work fine. The copy process seems a little slower, but maybe that's because of the bugfix. Or is the percentage thingy slowing it down a little? If it is, then perhaps you could just show the overall percentage, and just leave the progress bar for the individual files. Or maybe have a setting in the .xml file to turn on/off the percentage display. Personally, I'd prefer not to sacrifice speed for the sake of seeing the percentage, I was quite happy with just the progress bars (it's easy enough to estimate the percentage from them |

Yeah I'm sorry. I tested them on 0.4.8. I had no problems copying games & audio CDs - it only gave me problems when I tried to copy data CD's like the ones described below - with only a movie in AVI format and in some cases an SRT file. |

| but if the space available is not enough, then the user has to get out of the program and go to another for deletion and then go back to dvd2xbox for ripping. |
| QUOTE (dzv @ Oct 22 2003, 10:12 AM) |
| I agree with the suggestion that jigga3stix made. To me, the only things that DVD2Xbox are missing: 1. An easy way to delete games/videos/cds without using the HDD browser. Something similar to Px HDD Loader which shows a list of games on HDD, and you just press a button to delete. Listing the disk usage of each game/video/cd would also be ideal. This would make it very easy for people who are 'computer illiterate' to manage their games etc. 2. One-click DVD rip and encode to DivX. However, I realise this is a very big task, and according to many people it is not possible on the Xbox. |
| QUOTE (jayred99 @ Nov 5 2003, 06:12 AM) | ||
People who are 'computer illiterate' have no business with a modded XBOX! |

| QUOTE (jayred99 @ Nov 6 2003, 12:42 AM) |
| Well, I might be just a tad bitter because I modded a few Xboxes for "computer illiterates". I keep getting calls about something or other that they screwed up. One guy even started randomly deleting files off his C: drive because he thought it would fix a problem he was having with a backup! |

| The option for Dvd2Xbox to delete the Dashupdate.xbe and Downloader.xbe at the end of the copy (or maybe an option in the xml file). There is no point in having these files if you are playing a backed copy of your game off the hard drive bacuse you cannot go on live w/o a retail BIOS. I always remove these xbe files so I (or someone else) does not access them in the game. |
