To clarify: Normal mode works, 720 works, but 1080i freezes at "LOADING". HELP!

PS: This mod is sweet as hell! Now only if I could get 1080i working....

my guess is that, the xbox 64mb of memory may not be able to handle such a high resolution.  If i raise the aliasing to 9x super sampling it doesn't work either.

Why that makes zero sense to me! I mean, why even bother putting that in if it would make it crash on purpose? Hmmm, I wonder. dry.gif

720x480 works, but 1280x720 crashes just like the 1080 option. sad.gif

Yes, but the point I was trying to make is that 720p does not work. (480x720 is not 720p)

I can run 9x super sampling without any problems (except a little bit of slowdown).

hdtv support is in the xbox for games that support it.  These games are designed for the xbox, so they make them so they can run in 1080i (or whatever it is) mode.  Quake2 is not made for the xbox, and therefor isnt optimized, and therefore doesnt run at real high resolutions due to memory limitations.  Use logic, you guys!

ok if you say so with voodoo i did 1024x768 ran fine
but if it is the mem turn 16 bit buffer on default is 32
no antailiasing
50/60 sync
then see if it works

btw try out any vortex servers you see its a great mod you can even play as some of the monsters

The same thing happens to me, if it helps at all. I also can't run at 1080i without getting a blank screen. I have a Sony HDTV. Guess its just a limitation of Xbox.

I don't think 1080i works on mine, but 480p with 9x Supersampling works perfect on my xbox with no slowdown whatsoever.
