ok i just saved the memory save for SC and put it on my XBOX and it ran perfectly... now i got an ip address...
Any thing i should do from here?

if u could let me know what the critical things i should cover are that would be great...

Did you install UDE? Also make sure you ftp your backed up files and eeprom to your computer.

ok i did FTP the C drive... but when i got to install UDE it says
ERROR (line 1) (callscript) "actionscript file failed execution"
And i go to back it up using the dash and it shutdown the XBOX in like 1 min after doing something.
then when i goto XBOx information it says XBOX and HDD info has not been generated yet.
Any ideas?

This is an old XBOX from like 2001 early 2002
probably a 1.1 but could be a -1.3
had memory card save as 2 folders 1 with 553000c folder the other folder 21585554

I got a 3 month old version of C/folder on my XBOX should i FTP that to help me out?
Or should i reload my memory card and try again... has anyone rum into these errors?

Try deleting the "tmp" and "tmp.old" folders in the directory ldots installer is, e.g. e:\Udata\553000c\.  I don't know the exact adress, but in one of these directories there should be a tmp and tmp.old. If you can find them you should delete them, it worked for me when the same error appeared.

Edit: It could also be in Tdata, but it should be in one of the folders called 553000c or 21585554, since you uploaded them.

Ok that worked now wich UDE package should i use?

i  tried installing ude 1 and it doesnt seem to work.. the xbox runs a linux script and then shutdown.
Then i uninstalled and tried ude 2 same thing.

Ok i had to get a few files for an older xbox, now i got it running linux but the error im getting is it says it cant find the dash update xbe file...
any thoughts or help on where to get it and what to do?

Do you have any idea what kernel your xbox has? If it's from late 2001, or early 2002 it must be a 1.0. UDE 1 should've worked. If you get ftp access again I'd say you should uninstall C: and reinstall c: with Slayers disc. It's not a good idea to patch the dashboard with different dashboards. So download Slayers disc and reinstall c: with it. Then you start up SC and enter ldots installer. Then it should work if you run UDE.

And the Linux part seems to be working but when i read thru it, it's just coming up with that error..... so yea i can ftp it... i think i will first try to put back on all the original FILES on my C/folder and try again...
Cause i had to get a few special linux files and replace them since this XBOX is so old.
