OK here's my issue. I have been running the xecuter 4983.67 bios with the stock xbox hdd. I used Slayers a long time ago to change my default dash to XBMC. Ever since then, I discovered how much I DETEST the 'no rest on eject' hack. Upon reading a bit, I found out about the newer X2 5035 bios's ability to disable that feature.
The problem is getting this current bios updated. Here are my current stats:
My box is a v1.0 with XBMC set as the default dash.
I have an Xecuter 2.6 CE chip that was flashed with a bios.bin file made with xecuter bios manager v2.3. I intend to make a new bios.bin this way.
I read that I need to get the x2 config.ini file and x2 config maker 5035 both onto the box before updating the bios.
My PC has a dead ethernet port
so I cannot ftp anything. I've been using dvd2xbox for all my transfers without any problems - is it possible to get the x2config.ini and x2 config maker where they need to go this way?
Thanks in advance for helping a clueless noob
