Title: How Do I Know What Chip And Bios I Have?

Thing is I bought the xbox several years ago with a modchip allready installed and I have no idea what modchip I have or what bios version I have.. is there any way to figure that out?

Open up your xbox. Only way to identify your chip.
Use bios checker to find out what kind of bios you are running.

jao jo jag kan förstå att det är så man får göra, men problemet är att jag inte vet vart jag ska kolla =) jag har öppnat den flera gånger men vet inte vart chippet ska sitta och hur det ska se ut och hur olika chip ser ut... ledtrådar? =)

whoops wrong language =) I was so tired... welll, I understand that I have to upen up my xbox to check what chip I have, but I have no idea what to look for... I have opened my xbox lots of times but I have no idea how it should look like and where it should be placed... any clues?

Photo of the motherboard should be enough for us.

If you do not see a chip on the lpc then chances are that you have a tsoped box.
