Title: Removing The Flubber Sound
Post by: Cospefogo on October 04, 2006, 05:07:00 PM
Gentlemen,

I hate from deep inside of my soul that horrible FLUBBER SOUND
everytime I turn on my XBOX.

Is there a way to just remove the sounds?
I found few .WAV files in my C:
Something like CONTROL_ROOM.WAV or something like that.

Cheers,
C.

Easiest with editing your bios. I'll move this topic there for you.

Oh, thanks.

So, the flubber animation and sounds resides inside the BIOS.
My BIOS is Evox M8 Plus (at least is this what my Xbox Media Center
says on the system properties).

I did read a little about bioses, but the thing is pretty confusing,
to not say scary!

Anyone could just let me know what path should I follow?
Is there a specific editor for Evox M8 plus?

Cheers,
C.

I do not believe you can disable that in that bios. I suggest using x2 5035. That option is available in the x2config.ini file. Use x2 config maker or X2ool to create the ini.

I'd do it with hardware.

I'd build a mute circuit that times out and unmutes after a few seconds.
