Title: Upgraded Hd, But Lost Softmod, Or Ability To Get Krazyie To Turn It On

Hi,

I used krayzies ndure 1.1.1 to install a softmod on to my xbox, then decided to upgrade the hd, but I must have placed the wrong backup of c: when I upgraded and now I have lost the dual boot and the softmod. I still have the save files so I can lanuch krayzies but it seems to think I am already softmodded but won't let redo it.

I can get in via ftp is there a way I can recover? Without having to open the xbox again?

I am assuming by copying the wrong c: you mean that when you now boot up you get the standard MS Dashboard. If that is the case then simply uninstall the softmod (by loading the exploit ) and then reinstall the softmod.

I did something similar a few weeks ago but a few of the folks on the board told me I would have to unistall and reinstall the softmod. It worked a treat.

Actually I already thought of that, but Krayzie won't uninstall the softmod

it errors during the batch and won't continue

Wondering whether I could resoftmod it, if I was able to get a clean c: drive image on it.?

you could ftp fresh saves up to your xbox to install it again.

Is the softmod state held in the game saves? I hadn't thought of that, I actually have the orginals on my memory card so I will give that a go
