Title: Flash Bios V3.01 / X3 1959

when i have installed my x3 mod chip, which of these flash bios programs do i want to be using?  I;m pretty sure i want the 1959 file, but what purpose does the flash bios v3.01 serve?  1959 is roughly 1 mb, does that mean i will need to use a dummy file? If i burn this file to a cdrw will i be all set with that?  I had the 3.01, and used some bios program to make it a 512kb file size, am i doing anything right?

there is a tutorial for flashbios on their website
1959 is the x3 bios
