hi people,
i hope to find some answers here in this forum:
i've got the X2 4983 BIOS.
i know which i have to use.
what i don't know is how to flash it. do i have to use evox dashboard?
i currently use avalaunch and i just want to flash / update my bios so that i can enable the real boost mode.
i have a smartXX v1 chip but the remote flash tool don't works for me.
the latest XBtool (v1.0.23a) doesn't recognizes the bios files (unsupported), the hash is ok (checked in this board)
how do i have to flash my bios?
which program do i need?
---
the X2 bios comes as 256k file. there is a batchfile which makes a resize to 512kb or 1mb possible. why do i have to do a resize and which size is needed for me? (smartXX)??
hopefully to get some answers,
bigrollek

I wouldn't use evox to reflash the chip, there is a program called FlashX, that is much better. Just ftp it over as an app, and load it up....its obvious enough how to use.
As far as the bios, xbtool doesn't support the 4983 bios, so I suggest getting the 4981 bios instead.
As far as the particular size you need, I'm not sure how the smartxx separates the banks, or how big they are. You'll have to read that yourself.
