not to mention some people just happen to like having the possibility of switching between multiple bioses
also it is helpful for those that can't access the onboard bios anymore due to soldering mishaps, but fortunately do have access to the lpc thus the chip and can then still access the original bios via the modchip and still play on live

But what could a bios that big possibly provide?  Wouldn't most functionality that one might want be available in the dash?
