Title: Pal/ntsc Switching
Post by: Thracky on April 27, 2004, 06:29:00 PM
I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I want to hear it from other people.  Is there a bios out that will "convert" a PAL signal to NTSC so that an NTSC ONLY tv can play PAL games without problem?

I know you can switch your xbox from PAL to NTSC from within evolutionx dashboard and such, but that simply changes how your xbox displays, and if you don't have a TV that does PAL, it's all messed up.

Thanks in advance for answers =)

the bios doesn't even have anything to do with pal/ntsc at all.

switching it to NTSC with the videomode switcher or setting evox to ntsc will make it 100% ntsc, just like an US box (which is identical to PAL anyways except for the setting).. just disable auto switching.
PAL games will play in ntsc just fine.

and the PS

also there is an option that i think you were reffering to in evox that will auto launch an xbe to a forced region IF available to do so

if you really wanna import or steal PAL games i would sugges getting a vga adapter of some sort
