Logo changing is not a big deal. Perhaps xecuter would prefer this customization to be not public, but at the beginning it was a MS bios after all. and people love so much to customize the bios.

simply flash your modchip/tsop with the output.bin file.
yes, after xbtool say that it's an unsupported bios. I think the problem deals in the way xbtool recognize the bios (checksum ?). Or perhaps it's because i use old xbtool source code to unpack/pack the bios.
Currently, i've not heard of a flawed bios by using this tool. But consider this soft as beta:
I'm not satisfied in the way i made the new logo accepted. But it works...

hey xboxhaxors if you want I can make one for you but if you want to do it, I used paintshop pro. when you download logox2 it includes a sample logo. just open that up using paintshop and it will ask you for the logo "properties" just enter 100x17 and greyscale. that'll open up the image and I just blacked it out and put my new one. save as whatever.raw, run logox2 and flash away

the problem of size is about the compressed logo.
xecuter2 compressed logo is 622 bytes length, so you can't have a bigger logo.
the logo is compressed with a RLE algorythm ( search on google ).
you need to "simplify" your bios. having less pixel of one color alone ( change it to the same color as adjacent pixel, make your logo more sharp without gradation )

After it generates the output.bin file, are all the color mods on the "X Logo" and the boot xbe order kept? When I open it in xbtool to resize it 512 it shows the default colors and of course I cant resize it since the kernel isnt supported
Hell I would flash to see but I dont have my xbox with me...

you dont need to "Open" the bios to resize it, use the "Size" button.

if your logo is 1700 bytes, you've not make a mistake.

with M7 ( evox bios ), the logo is taken from the .xbe
so with no cd, it takes the logo from the HD ( evoxdash.xbe or xboxdash.xbe or ... ). Here it seems that you boot on the MS dash, so you have the MS logo.
With the slayer's disk, it boot on evox, so you have this stupid matrix inside

why are you using the Xecuter bios ?
in a xenium based thread you bash the hell out of them for some retarded reason and call them bastards
I for one support Xecuter - they've been here since day one and they've given us most of the software and hardware hacks we all use today (unlike some who have jumped on the bandwagon half way through the scenes age and on the back of other ppl's work). Anyone who bashes them just because your boyfreinds tell you to - so stupid and lame. Im quite sure youll be shutting the hell up when X3 is revealed finally and then you have to switch your 4 week old allegencies from one mod team to another

in the meantime this little tool works nicely - simple raw image in photoshop changes the logo great
first credits to Xecuter for making the bios possible in the first place - second credits to the guy who developed the patching tool.

This GUI uses Chips/alg5's executables - I simply built a GUI around them. It'll enable ppl to use both BMP and RAW files - but it needs the M$ .NET Framework installed in order to work (the download is about 23 megs - the .NET compiler was the only one I had available - get over it

Sorry m8 - the GUI doesnt check for errors, reported back by the command-tool(s). ATM it only makes sure that a bmp/raw image and a BIOS has been selected..

yeah i figured the way that the program converted it's files it would be pointless to keep a transparent bg color, let alone trying to make it 100x19

Oh, sorry i wasnt very clear...
Thats what i ment, the backround of the X logo is white, but the little "MS" replacement (the little rectangle) does not use a white color, it uses a grey. You can only tell if you use the white backround obviously, because when it is surrounded by black it appears white.
It's fine, ill find a creative way to make it look not ugly for now

since the background color can only be on greyscale this should not be a problem to create the color of dadada

i probably wouldn't suggest making the bios 1024k because if it fucks up there goes your whole chip, just do 512k
if you flash through evox make sure you flash over bank1 while your chip is set to bank 2, otherwise if the chip is on bank 1 and your bios is fucked up then you will end up flashing that fucked bios on all 1024k of the chip. this is why i suggested flashing with flashx if you have an x2 chip

i remember back when xbox-scene announced the firest VIDEO release of it, it showed a white background with the MS/Xecuter2/whatever background being also white. click HERE for the video i am talking about. maybe someone could "ask" them how they did it.
