erm, no.  It means someone did the nfo on xbins.org, but didnt upload the actual bios to the ftp - 2 seperate steps.

I would read that BIOS does first before ever considering downgrading.  Giving the ability to turn off the Live checking and other features via an XBE is just going to cause havoc from malicous people.

So delete the .xbe.  All its going to do is create the disable files on the E drive.  I dont let "malicious people" use my xbox, and I suspect that not many do.

I know for a fact that all the malicious people in my neighborhood have been chased out, so my xbox should be safe.  My xbox is in more peril from friends of mine who try to connect to XBL thinking it's a cute practical joke.

Edit:  But getting back to the subject at hand.  How often do they post the NFO without following up on the files?  In all my time with Xbins I've never seen this happen.  Oh well, maybe they're making more last minute changes...

It is in the path you just wrote. I downloaded it from there.

The Disable Clock Check feature rulez because I am one of those few, poor 1.5 guys with a box constantly forgetting the time.

But I don't trust xbtool yet. Has anyone changed the boot order, partitions, colour, etc. and it is working?

I know this is a bit off topic but it's still related to the X2 BIOS, does any1 know if/when that Color Ani Hack will be Released? I'm just curious

I have changed the boot sequence in X2 4981.67 and it all works fine. so yes, it does work.

Only problem i have found is I got a NEW 200 GIG Segate HDD, Installed everything and then after that i used XBTOOL to edit the boot sequence to load xselector.xbe as this it what i want to boot and i then flashed it to X2 Lite. Sweet!!! Beautiful!! Everything works!!
Except: IGR!!!

I cant get IGR to work now... you can read my post HERE

Now im not yet saying it was XBTOOL that did it as im not 100% sure but seems to be that way as i flashed back to my previous bios and IGR works.

Strange!!
