Title: Why Does D6 Not Support Igr?
Post by: moistness on November 04, 2003, 09:35:00 AM
thats sort of the point, evox bioses are designed to work with evox, which as you know has its own igr, i have not had a problem with igr , at least in evox 3921!
i personally believe that a lot of the igr problems are caused by the evox igr conflicting with xecutor bios igr, so if you use one then you should disable the other!

Hmmm...I'm not sure how accurate this theory was.  Back when EvoX IGR first hit, it was used heavily by those who did not have flashable mods (Enigmah, Xecuter1, etc) and it was buggy for all these users (myself included).  The BIOSes that were on those chips did not have IGR, so there was no such conflict.

Isn't there a way to disable the IGR on the x2 bios?

Put a blank file named 'x2_IGR_disabled' in the root of the e: drive.  Reboot the xbox. Done.

I knew you had to put a file somewhere, but didn't think to put it on E:.

Thanks.
