ok i got till the point where i get error 07, and still the hd is ticking..

gonna put it in pc now and see what it gives with the tools on this site

the harddrive is dead, get a new one.
i had this problem as well, 120 gig 8meg 7200 rpm maxtor.
go to maxtor.com and rma it.
