Ok, I got my xbox for a while but gave it to my nephew, but recently just got it back because of the silent scope game.  Anyway, been interested in swapping out the HDD.  The thing is when I tried the XBConnect thing and I accidentally let XBox Live upgrade my Dash version to 5969 (or whatever updated it).  So I bought the AR pack (not the MS one though) and loaded the 007 exploit. Followed the Gouki's Tutorial and copied it to HDD no problem, booted the 007 and when I tried to load save games, it said please wait and bam there's the famous Error 21 screen.  So it doesn't work at all.  I've been searching and reading about this problems, and people recommend the MS memory unit, which I have no problem buying it.  But I think it is more likely caused by the new Dash version?

Anyone please help this n00b out on softmodding this xbox?  Does the 007 with Evox installer.zip from Gouki's tutorial work with Dash version 5969 or it has to be older Dash version?

The AR memory card corrupts saves. Use a M$ or Madcatz brand card instead. Error 21 means the file is corrupt, missing, or unsigned. It's not a problem with the dashboard version. However, the audio exploit NEEDS dash 4920, while the font exploit needs any version dash under/on 4920. :)  <

Thanks for the quick reply, that clears many things up in my head right now..:D

Anyway, does this thing work then?

It is made by Mad Catz, another thing is the action replay has the little program where you can drag and drop files into the memory card.  What if I buy this item above, how do I put files into the card?

That madcatz version SHOULD work. I've only heard that it works as well as the M$ brand cards. I personally swear by M$ official cards. You'd have to have the AR memory card device, or you'd have to make your own by splicing cords (There are tutorials on this). If you don't want to go through that hassle... get in touch with me via PM and we'll talk about me putting it on ANY memory card. :)  <
