i know this is stupid but anything that deals with bios scare the shit out of me...so my question is if i use XBTool to make a custom 4977 image file (color etc), nothing will go wrong right...like whats up with an rc4 key? do i need to do anything with that to make a custom bios? TIA

sweet thanks alot man...oh yea btw i heard about an rc4 key being something like important prior to one of the x2 bios's...like u coudlnt modify it before without rc4 key...but now its like u dont need it anymore...dont bash me i could be wrong lol im just saying what i think i remember...k going to make me a cool ass BIOS LOL

yeh, the latest version of xbtool can edit the 4977 bios perfectly. its a great tool and no you dont need the rc4 key as evrything xbtool needs is already incorporated (md5 keys)

RC4 keys were needed to unpack BIOSes before the bug(s) that allow MultiVer BIOSes to work (bypassing the RC4) were implemented..
