I have a Xecuter 2 lite plus mod chip installed on my xbox with a thomson drive. I flashed the chip with the evox bios using the ozxflash software. I burnt both the ozxflash iso and the bios on sony cd-rw's using nero. I burnt them at 2x speed, finalized the cd, and used track at once. They both loaded on my xbox and it said i flashed the chip. Now when i boot my xbox up, it looks like a regular xbox with no difference at all. Is that supposed to happen?
Now I am trying to load the evox dashboard. I burn the iso of the evox dashboard the same way i burnt the bios but it cant read the disc. I have tried numerous different ways to burn it and cant get the xbox to read it. My xbox wont even read regular xbox games. I dont know why this is and would appreciate any suggestions.

Are you sure that you removed the flash protection jumper before flashing?

Yes i did remove the flash protection jumper

It might have flashed just fine, and is having problems reading the Evox boot disk. I don't know what the Evox BIOS looks like, and my box is apart (being painted) so I can't flash it right now to look.
What Evox bios version did you use?

I think it did flash fine and just cant read the disc but it wont even read regular xbox games. Is there any way to reflash the chip without the evox dashboard?

The only way that I know of is to either have another chip that is already flashed, and do a hot swap. The other is to use a programmer such as the x2lite.

As with age, everything loses umphh... your eyes go bad, joints hurt, and you eventually have to use Viagra. Same with the Xbox, in dusty climates, sun light, and normal wear and tear.
Some thing you can try, before buying a programmer or a new chip is to. try the Pot tweak on the dvd rom drive... Ive done it on 3 drives already with success, use a digital multimeter, and follow the directions to the T. I can calibrate mine to the point where I can use Fugi Films CD-rs or any green dye CD-R and it will read fine.
Or try buying a flasher... and use the recommended flashing program from X2s website.
When you reflash the Bios use a color mod chip... just whatever your fav. color is. and it impresses the friends.
If you do see color change it means everything is alright.. If you don't it is either turned off or something else is wrong.
