use xbtool to set the boot partition to F

Not quite, i dont know where people think you still need to rename stuff, just do it how you said yes, but dont rename it, leave it as evoxdash.xbe

Yep thats right, you can keep it booting on C with it called evoxdash.xbe theres no need to rename anything.
