I believe the original MS bios' are just a single 256k bios copied 4 times to fill up the 1 MB chip.

So you can't flash the tsop with a single 256k bios? Or does it have to be 1mb to fill the chip?

Unless your Xbox is a version 1.2 with a Sharp TSOP you will need a 1 MB bios.  That 1 MB can be made up of 4 256k Bios'.  The Sharp TSOP is a 256k chip though.
