I'd feel better knowing for sure that someone was working on a fix, but I've not seen any evidence of it. seems that new xbox owners are SOL.

Have you tryed doing things the old fasion way? Not using PBL at all and signing your XBE files? It's a pain in the ass but it's better than nothing.

this bundle is all that best buy had. thought about that already. lol. I got into this mess, because I was transfering a hacked dash back to the old xbox, and my son pushed the drawer in on the box, and it rebooted. that was the death of my old box. it wouldn't even load a retail demo from then.

From my understanding, if you can get a hold of the evoxd6_ejectfix_bfm.bin file, then you can get pbl to work on your xbox. All you have to do is rename the evoxd6_ejectfix_bfm.bin to xboxrom.bin, basically replacing the original .bin file that comes with the signed pbl. You'll still get a jumbled phoenix logo screen, but then the evox screen should pop up regular after that. I think it is okay to use pbl 1.3 with this. Can anyone confirm? That is what I gathered from searching these forums for the past few days. Only problem is I can't seem to find the evoxd6_ejectfix_bfm.bin file anywhere.

I don't have the bfm bin... I used the wrong one, no wonder it still didn't work, so off to hunting I go, if I find it, I'll let ya know.

update! i edited the ini file like you said and it works perfect as soon as the garbled phoenix screen boots to evox it works fine thanks alot this is good news for all

b4 all of that happened, though, I got the scrambled screen then evox but when I tried to launch the demo I got the bsod (black screen of death) and I couldn't get to the msdash. I think I went wrong by trying to get to the dash... can anyone get to the original dash after doing the softmod on the new bundle pack(star wars/tetris)?----------------------------------

pkay guys, got it up and running, like you guys said, it worked like a charm. during the process of softmodding it, I forgot where to put the skins folder, can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you all very much for your help!!!!

I'm glad you got your new XBox version up and running. I'm brand new to this with the same Tetris/Starwars bundle.
Getting the error 21 screen when I load "run linux" saved game.
Trying to decypher what to do by reading this thread but it's excellent news that i'm not out of luck! : )

I used the 007 auf savegame hack, I'm not familiar with the audio exploit, but I wish you luck! The important thing is to back up you c drive b4 beginning! trust me, any little distraction can make you mess up. the eror 21 appears to come form having the wrong xbe load. I got it until I hacked the correct default.xbe and corrected the path in the evox inin to point to it. if you get an error 13 then I think,not sure, comes from not having the dash hacked correctly. I'm not sure, still learning myself. hope that helps.
signing off for a while guys, gonna tinker with the box and see if I an get the skins to load up again.

What is the correct default.xbe for the new tetris/starwars bundle XBoxes? Perhaps I just need to replace the new default.xbe in my saved Mech game and recopy to the Xbox?
The current default.xbe i have shows a creation date of 7/5/2003 and 696,824 size. (658,824 packed)
Can anyone point me in the right direction for the correct default.xbe in a PM? : )

Why use PBL?
heh silly newbs.
Evox doesn't load bios. So, if you don't use PBL you have to sign all the xbes for game and progs.

wtf? lol, i heard that the font expliot bert and ernie already got the PBL preinstalled in it right??? but based on the bert and ernie font, i can't find anything that is related to PBL, does the font expliot already got the PBL installed in it, or does it only got the evox preinstalled...
if so, why still need to install the pbl...
