Are you saying that you get the contents of a CD-R to show up on the Xbox, but not the contents of DVD-R (of a brand that works for games)?

And you have defined the DVD player under My movies in the setup file just like you would any other place you want it to look?

what burning software are you using, what dvd drive do you have, and what OS?
There's something in NERO or Alchol 120% that you need to check off so that you can watch dvd's off the xbox
i had the same issue before
