I have recently noticed that Shoutscraper has recently been having issues getting updated files from Shoutcast. After some investigation with another friend of mine we have come to the conclusion that Shoutcast has attempted to put a stop to all the requests that shoutscraper caused by putting a limit as to how many station requests can be done in one day.
I believe the issue started with the default shoutscraper xml file. It sent a request shoutcast.com once an hour on top of the fact that it gathered the top 20 radio stations for each genre of music. I am sure that the shoutcast servers were getting overloaded with so many requests each hour. So to combat this, it appears that shoutcast has put a limit on to how many requests you can do in one day. If you do a new download, you will probably get to the Mixed/Others genre and any requests afterwards will come up blank. After you reach the daily limit, even if you go to www.shoutcast.com and attempt to open up a radio station via the computer, the url will tell you "too many requests. try again tomorrow".
So it appear that shoutscrapper, although it still works to some extent, has taken a hit. It was a wonderful program while it lasted.
Now the question lies, are there other servers similiar to Shoutcast out there? I have seen Icecast but can't seem to make it work like Shoutscraper did before. I have yet to find a program that will work with the XMP other than the Shoutscraper/Shoutcast combo.

I use xnsplsedit.
It still has the same issues as shoutscraper, but I just use it once a week or so.
