You're settings relating to the internet sound wrong. Try disabling the internet connection (while keeping your box and pc connected), does that fix it?

set all ip´s static so there can be no conflicts.

On a related note, EvoX freezes and must be rebooted nearly every time after I use XBMP. Any thoughts?

Sounds like the good old evox network problem.  Try a real dashboard like MXM, Ava, or Unleash and you'll have absolutely no loading problems.
