My friend has the exact same problem...exactly what you did and what its now doing. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Has he tried the "Enigmah Video Mode Switch Disc"? I haven't gotten a chance to try it since the dvd-drive in my box is defunct (unrelated to the video change).
I have an 80 gig western digital caviar drive in my box, what does he have?

I too would be interested in seeing anyone's fix or suggestions. Tried with multiple displays- same symptom on each. even tried yanking the chip in hopes of resetting to some default, but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

Well... Its not a very unique problem at all. As stated all you did was change the video modes.
Also as started you need to use the Enigma Video Selector to fix it. Get it burn it, fire it up and press B for NTSC or A for PAL.
You might need to unplug your A/V cable to get the XBox to boot all the way.

You could also ftp it across to your hdd if you have Evox booting as default then use a raw command in the ftp to execute the enigmah video select program.
