Title: Whats Wrong With My Hd?

Whenever i turn on my Xbox, i can c it power on, but then the harddrive starts to make a clicking type og noise, and it goes on for like 30 seconds to a minute, then the power light turns red and the ERROR screen comes up on my screen, its not modded at all, i dont really know whats wrong with it, can byone help me??

Actually what he means is that it is dead.  HDDs don't lick when they are working properly...

You should mod your box so you can install a new bigger and better hdd.

so that means that my XboX is useless till i get it a new HD? Is there anything i can do to the one it already has to make it work again? :(  :(  :(  :(

You could take it out and tap it with a hammer a few times. I find even showing it a hammer usually scres the bejesus out of it and it starts working again.  ;)

a normal hammer? or something like a rubber hammer?  Man, is there a reason why the hard drive would just "die" like that? that pisses me off...

rubber would be nice cuz it's heavy, but a little softer. but a normal hammer might be better for actually destroying it. it's your choice!  :P

you should return it to the store and replace it, hope you didnt paint it and didnt modded the xbox that would fix the problem, how long did you had the xbox?

Well, i dont think i can return the XboX cause i didnt buy a warranty, and i already opened it up before so the seals are broken, and my mom threw the box out, so im pretty much stuck with it. So i gues my only choice is to buy a new HD? man, that sucks cuz im BROKE right now, i would love to get a new, bigger and better HD for it tho...
