Have you tried to locate the movie files via the browser? I mean My Videos/hard-drive-letter/video-cataloque. Are the files visible then?
-
yes, I can see the files if I ftp back into the xbox. they just don't show up in XBMP. they are divx and mpeg files if that makes a difference.
-
No, no, no - I meant the XBMP built-in browser...
-
I'm confused when you say the built-in browser. I go to XBMP, then My Videos, Then HDD...and nothing shows up.
-
Ok, slowly now
My idea was to go to My videos in XBMP and on the right side you have a list of all partitions, DVD drive etc. So instead of just going to My Videos and seeing nothing [because You don't know if the entry in XBMP config file is right, do you?], go to My Videos and manually choose a partition on the right you have films on [F: ?]. Than go to the catalogue ["Videos" right?] and check whether the files are visible AT ALL.
No ftp'ing back to the xbox! Do it all using XBMP.
Whoa! I gotta' be more specific... Sorry all the newbies...
PS. Oh, I'm a Noob myself

nvm

Sorry for the trouble, but I guess I'm just missing something. I go to XBMP then to "My Videos" and on the right side is :
"Network (XBMXP)"
"XBOX HD RIPS"
"Network (XNS)"
"Network (SMB)"
"HDD"
"Playlists"
"DVDROM (UDF)"
"DVDROM (ISO9600)"
So I don't see any of my partitions listed. and all of the folders I try to view are empty...I have "HDD" set to go to f:video which is where I know my movies are, but they aren't visible in XBMP. Thanks for all the help.
