You need to edit the config.xml for XBMP. Find the <extensions> tag, then add |vob| to the <videos> section.
Here is the section from my config.xml, and VOBs work just fine via Relax for me
<extensions>
<music>ac3|aac|nfo|pls|rm|sc|mpa|wav|wma|ogg|mp3|mp2|m3u</music>
<videos>nfo|rm|m3u|ifo|mov|qt|divx|xvid|bivx|vob|pva|wmv|asf|asx|ogm|m2v|avi|bin|dat|mpg|mpeg|mkv|avc|vp3|svq3|nuv|viv|dv|fli</videos>
<pictures>png|jpg|jpeg|bmp|gif|ico|tif|tiff|tga|pcx</pictures>
</extensions>

Well it looks exactly like that, copied from the original 2.4 xml file. If the extension was missing in the xml file, I guess that the files on the HDD wouldn't show either. The xml settings affects that too, not only relax (i guess)

Well, Isn't there anyone else with this problem out there, or some ideas of what I could try. I know it's not the most serious problem but since everything else in XBMP works so great, I really would like this to work too!

I play VOBs using XMBP and Relax all the time, and all I did to setup Relax was install the service, ran the exe, then add my directories to the list. I didn't change ANY of the default settings at all.
Are you sure you're using the most recent builds of both XBMP and Relax?

Yap, using latest CVS of XBMP 2.4 and Relax 0.75. It has been this way with all other versions I've been running!

OK, now I've tried almost everything. Renamed the folder hat contained the vobs and voila now it works, strange. Thanks anyway!
