Title: Playing Dvd Movies With Xbmp 2.4
Post by: DOOBIOUS on August 07, 2003, 10:37:00 PM
I'm recently new to exploring the capabilities of XBMP and dvd movies. Is it possible to play movies in XBMP from the dvd drive or do I have to save it to the hard drive somehow and execute it. Is there a software I would need to copy DVD movie files to my hard drive? If so, where could I find it?

Well, the thing is I tried and there are tons of files in the folder. Some folder only contain about 30 min. of the movie and I'm unable to play others. I was hoping there was a simpler way of playing the dvd like being able to save it to the hard drive and executing a file to play the whole movie. Is it possible?

WELL, why don't you stop being lazy and put the DVD in to see if it works....?

Sry bout that, the answer is "yes", you can play DVDs w/ XBMP. I even tried playing "original" VCDs and they worked. (Not sure about burnt VCDs though)

burnt vcds work fine... as long as your dvd-rom reads the media
