Title: Xbmp 2.4 And Relax Problems
Post by: minimoebius on June 12, 2003, 07:07:00 PM
Are your folders only one level deep?  If so double check your config.xml and make sure that the shared name matches the shared name in Relax.  If it is correct, the shared folder should appear within the folder defined folder defined in config.xml.

If your folders are multiple levels deep then Relax is probably working fine.  Check the media types list in config.xml and make sure the file type of the file you want to view is present.

well at most they are 3 levels deep. and I see all the subfolders fine. I also checked my config file and all the extensions are all there. Just no files in the folders.

A couple of things you might try. Im just coming up with some ideas, this may not have to do with your problem.

IN RelaX, second tab, extra options, if   *  is not already in the extensions section put one.

Also if you could select one of the shares in question in RelaX and then take a screen shot and post an image of the entire left side. This way we can look at what options you have set for the share and may see something causing the problem. This sounds like a simple settings issue. My shares are over 6 deep and work fine.

From what I can see there, everything should be ok. Can you post your XBMP config.xml?

Weird that the Backslashes in the code disapeared when I posted them on the board. They are however path corectly in my config file.

Yep it does that. Just about everyone catches on to that and ignores it. If you every posting anything short, like what I did down below, you can put 2 slashes and it will appear as one.

I didn't see anything wrong with the config but you can try this to see if you get different results.
Go to this part of your config

<videos>
<visible>true</visible>
<share>
<name>Network (XNS)</name>
<url>d:\[email protected]</url>
<cachesize>8192</cachesize>
</share>

and change it to this

<videos>
<visible>true</visible>
<share>
<name>Network (XNS)</name>
<url>[email protected]</url>
<cachesize>8192</cachesize>
</share>

See it works. If not, leave that entry changed, go to RelaX, hilight the D:\Videos share and change the option for that folder to flatten - no and integrate - no.

Im just trying to pinpoint where its going wrong but from what I have seen it should be working the way you have it.

Tried changing it to $root$. No dice still the same thing. I even tried the Client test program and it does the same thing. I can see all of my share folders.. but none of the files. Its like I have empty folders. I have even tried going back a ver to 2.3 and same problem.

The only two other things I can suggest then. Put your reference to D:\Videos back in the config and in relax chane the flatten and integrate options to yes for that share, if you have not tried it already.

Next I see you are using a prerelease of relax. You might try going to 75 and see if the problem is with relax.
