Title: Xbmp
Post by: mingwingming on June 05, 2003, 02:22:00 PM
Yes you can run games from the program sections and Yes you can have thumbnails . Unfortunately you have to manually upload the thumbnails (.tbns) to your games folder for them to work.   Pain in the arse...

Maybe one day someone will comeup with a way of patching the  Media players .xbe file so that it Automatically finds the Thumbnails !!??   This does not seem to be a priority to the Media Player team..   sad.gif   shame

64 x 64 image renamed to gamename.tbn then put it in the same directory as game name

e.g

splinter cell
splinter cell.tbn

add tag to config.xml
in bookmark section and your set

         <bookmark>
<name>Games</name>
        <path>f:\games</path>
         </bookmark>

The games should show up whether or not you have thumbnails for them.  I put my game .tbn's in the thumbnail folder and it works.
Do your apps show up, like boxplorer?

It shouldn't matter that the xbmp is on e: and your games are on f:, that's how mine is.  Just make sure your games file on f: is exactly the same as it says on your config, case sensitive...

Also, I'm running xbmp as my dash, so it doesn't matter, but if you're using evox, make sure on the .ini file "use f drive" is set to yes.

It might be best just to start all over.

What program did you use to backup the game to the xbox harddrive?

What does your f: drive look like?
