Title: Dvd Rom In Xbmp Doesn't Work

I had to rename evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe, and then renamed the original xboxdash.xbe to msdash.xbe, in order to use the vga bios in evox.  In doing so, i also had to change in evox.ini xboxdash.xbe to msdash.xbe, so i could use the dvd rom to play movies and games.
Anyway, my problems is, i still can't use the dvd rom in xbmp; it just kicks be back out to evox dash?????  Is there some where in xbmp to change xboxdash.xbe to msdash.xbe?

Any help is much appreciated.

I have a .cut file in my XBMP root directory telling it to go to  DVDX..  Like below..

<shortcut>
<path>Harddisk0Partition6applicationsdvdxdefault.xbe</path>
</shortcut>

I have done this and it works fine if you set the . . . <autolaunchdvd>false</autolaunchdvd>
to true and put an original DVD in the tray (it does autoload).

I don't want the autolaunch feature so I set it to false again . . .

But when I select . . . Play DVD-ROM from the My Programs menu It just resets to dashboad.

The only way I have managed to get Original DVD Movies to work in XBMP is to create a shortcuts folder in my e:\apps and place a copy of DVD Player.cut (which points to DVDx dongle free s/w)
and select My Programs > HDD > DVD Player (which is the .cut file pointing to DVDx)

The above works fine but why doesn't the option . . . Play DVD-ROM work from My Programs?
Is it only written to work with the original MS xbox dashboard?

Does anyone have the option . . . Play DVD-ROM working from My Programs?

but i have just been reading through the "official" manual again . . . and Play DVD-ROM attempts to launch D:\default.xbe !!

e:\apps\shortcuts folder with .cut files pointing to apps is fine.  Just wanted to know why Play DVD-ROM didn't work . . . and RTFM worked
