the xbmp manual has examples of how to configure the config.xml

just edit yours

or you could search around till you find the XBMP config file editor that makes this a little simpler. Still, editing the config file is so simple that there really is no reason to.

there's a backslash between "D:" and "xmusic" but I can figure out how to post them.

make sure the movie files have the file extension in the name (.mpg, .avi etc...)

I had the same problem, the 2.1 config points to e:videos, and 2.3 config points to e:movies.

Just edit the config.xml in wordpad, and change the link to point at the correct folder.

Or, using the ftp function, you could change the folder name to match the config.xml.

i can find the config xml, i can read the config xml,but i still dont know exactly what bit i need to alterplz could someone post theirs sc i could copy paste coz my head hurts sore.thanks guys

thanks for the help up to now guys but im still lost,do i need to change any of the ip address's
to match my xbox's,is everybodys xml file different if they are the same could someone be kind enough to post a whole one,i realise im being a pain in the ass but ive read the forums and guides but im not any wiser ,thanks in advance guys,

i think if one of the kind people from this forum would be good enough and give up his time to do a step by step tut it could be put as a sticky,as judging by the views on this post im not the only chump in towni think it would be a great help,cheers lads
