Title: Dvd To Avi

I am having problems copying DVD movies to AVI format.
I have tried DVD to AVI -- Put DVD movie in drive and seemed to be converting
but it only converted the first VOB file ?
I then tried Smart Ripper which created all the VOB files then used GordianKnot
to create the AVI.  This worked great but I had no sound in the AVI file.
Any suggestions on another s/w package to try?

Use DVDx and open the ROOT ifo file, then choose divx as the codec.

what version of DIVDX are you using?  I have version 2.2
when I open a .IFO I do not have a option to create a DIVX file
