If you're 100% sure your solder points are good, then make sure your TSOP is listed in the evox.ini.

oh well...redid the soldering then raincoat reported the chip the right way, but gave anoteher error like: cannot erase is your chip write protected??? and then when i restarted xbox i got green light flashing on and off like its trying to start 3 times and then it is going into red/green sequence without any video output...dead for good or recoverable? any help appreciated...tnx

What I don't understand is if raincoat reported that it couldn't erase the chip, why is it FRAGging now? What else did you do?

You've FRAGged the TSOP. Either permanently fit an LPC modchip or use a 29-wire mod to fix the TSOP. Those are your only options.

So really all you will ever need is a 256k file... For all the boards... but not for 1.6... Sad but true...

oh well...i was so mad that i couldnt get chip to flash, that i totally forgot to check the raincoat bios...so...any suggestions where i can get a chip that will fix my probs...like xray3, that they will deliver to europe...tnx for the info...(guys here charging 70euro for fixing that kind of stuff
