No... updating that way won't work from what I've read. The raincoat on the Xbox was coded specifically for the Xbox...
it must be named raincoat.cfg
and you must have simi-colons on the end of each line.
but this will not make it raincoat 0.7
it will just add flash definitions.
the highway_007mech_flash_pack already has a more updated cfg
and it runs eurasia from evox, which makes the video work during flashing, so you are not flashing blind.
but both just automatically flash anyway, so it doesn't matter.
just let it do it's thing: amber light, about a minute, reboot
if dvd ejects, then it failed (bad solder, no bios.bin, or wrong size bios)
Right I'm confused as bollox now!
The read me in the pack,'from xbins' says,
Quote:
A TSOP flash kit based on Linux and raincoat 0.5
Quote:
If raincoat.cfg (lower case) is found in E:\UDATA\4541000d\000000000000 it will
be used instead of the internally supported flash types,
There is no raincoat or .cfg in the pack. So I figured the raincoat must be built into the .xbe. Also if I drop the newer raincoat.cfg from raincoat 0.7 (also from xbins) into the folder this would make it support the newer flash types.
And I am still unclear how I fire up this whole shooting match!!!
Has anyone used this with any success?
just copy everything to e:\UDATA (or get it on a memory card and copy it over) and start up 007:AUF. then load game from HD
And if I do not have 007 do I copy it to the coresponding Machassault e:\UDATA folder?
you will need
highway_007mech_flash_pack
and copy both 007 and Mech Assault
only bother using eurasia if you have a winbond TSOP and you don't want to telnet.
otherwise use an evox Mech exploit
