Title: Tsop Chart?
Post by: Bogus8 on January 26, 2004, 08:42:00 AM
I was wondering if there was a chart showing what TSOP's come on what ver. Mobo's and what are the sizes of each TSOP.  If there is not I would love to get a hold of that info and I will make a chart.  It would be helpful for people looking to flash there TSOP and not knowing even what "brand" TSOP they have or if it can do the A19 Multi-Bios switch, or what flasher is compatiple.

If we could start up a list that would be great!

From what I've read the 1.0 and 1.1 have a 1024k TSOP (the brand eludes me) and can do the VCC>>A19<<GND switch for Retail/Modified Bios.

The 1.2 have the "sharp" brand Bios and it's only 256k, is this a  true statement for ALL 1.2's?

The rest of them start to use a mix of TSOP's I beleive if we could get a list and have someone verify this I will make up a chart and submit it to X-S like the Bios chart or mod chip chart.

Thanks in advance  <

1.0 = 1mb = ST, SST, Hynix, Hyundai(?)
1.1 = 1mb = Sharp, ST, SST, Hynix
1.2 = 256k = Winbond, ST(?)
1.3 = 256k = Winbond
1.4 = 256k = Winbond, ST
1.5 = 256k = Winbond, ST

this is the breakdown as far as i know, im sure some of the brands are wrong but the sizes are all correct  <

Thanks lordvader129 for jumping right in there!  <

Maybe we can get some extra info on what ver. of raincoat that could be used for flashing or if any special configs are needed.  What points need to be soldered... and maybe I could have links at the bottom of each colum for pics of the different TSOP's for ID and maybe the solder points.. I'm sure most of these can be "robbed" from other tuts and such.  I just need clarification and make sure they are distinct and not cluttered with other markings for other things!

or am I barking up the wrong tree and no one see's a real need for this?  <

ALL 1.0s and most 1.1s (minus Sharp)

(IMG:http://mywebpages.comcast.net/azaveri2/1011-top.JPG)(IMG:http://mywebpages.comcast.net/sharpie00/1011-bottom.JPG)

1.1 with Sharp

i cant find the pics right now, but there is a third set of points to bridge, and you need to bridge the top points AFTER booting (it will frag if they are bridged) solder 2 wires to the each of the top points the twist the ends of the wires togtehr once evox is loaded

ALL 1.2s and higher (red circles)

(IMG:http://homepage.ntlworld.com/abdul.kabir/images/xbox1_2.jpg)

evox can flash anything but winbond, for the winbond use raincoat .501

http://www.geocities.com/mspritch/raincoat-0.501.zip
right-click and save target as, otherwise it wont download

raincoat can flash anything, but requires typing either by telnet with a PC or a USB keyboard (if raincoat is loaded through evox you get video output and wont need to telnet)

The SST 49LF020 is a 256k LPC flash memory chip.
You have it listed as a 1m not a 256.

(Thanks for confirming)
