Title: 2 Hard Drive Mod Linux Prob
Post by: SeasonOfFire on June 15, 2003, 08:34:00 PM
Linux freezes if you don't shutdown or reboot properly enough times. Don't just hit the power button. You have to goto the console and login as root, then type "halt" or "reboot".

Might be because Linux is designed to use the DVD drive, that's just a hunch though. You could try recompiling the kernel without a dvd/cd device, or take out the entry in the /etc/fstab

You have to  be logged in as root to edit /etc/fstab
In the console, type
su -
and then your root password when prompted (xbox if you haven't changed it?)
