Title: Apt-get Problem --- Please Help

I have Debian installed and i am using XP ICS thru a hub. I am able to ping the google.ca from my xbox. I added the deb ... line to the sources.list. Now when i do "apt-get update" it connects and then just sits at [waiting to get file]. i have tried this for like 100 times and some times it went upto 39% and then timed out.

Can someone help please.b
