led on xenium turns green

same thing happens when I start the box with the eject button.
the chip is brand new, no bios on it or anything.
tried 2 xeniums, same result.

soldering job is good.

any ideas of what could be the problem?
a new xbox version?

Check to see if it's a 1.6/b (http://www.xbox-scene.com/versions.php) B means it has hynix ram. If you have a 1.6/b you need to rebuild the LPC. Also update to latest Xenium OS as 2.2.0 is released today and use Evox M8_16plus as the bios.

Ok guys....i'm kinda mad right now.

I sold that box as premodded and got it returned 2 times for the exact problem.

What I do did to fix: Take out the chip...fix the date/clock :: Works fine when replacing the chip...

But it appears that some hours/days after I give the customer the box, the same problem happens !

What can I do to avoid this shit?

Should I try to install another kind of modchip in?

I installed another and it works fine.

Ill leave the box unpluged for few hours to see how its going.

Since I wasnt able to have the Xenium OS to fix the clock bug by itself I decided to fix it the hard way smile.gif

Both 3.3v and d0 must be disable in order to disable the xenium.

So now, if the bug appears again,
just have to switch off and set the clock and everything will work again smile.gif

Heh, the 'clock bug' has been non existant for me; the chip an OS always boot up fine even after loosing power and the clock loosing time...

I hope you have the latest OS flashed wink.gif In any case, glad to see you devised a solution for yourself tongue.gif

I also haven't been affected by the clock bug

I even tried to recreate the problem by leaving my box off for extended periods of time - maybe it only affects certain 1.6, but I'm too lazy to go checking up on past posts

I also tried faulty boot sequences using teh eject and power buttons, etc. to get the recovery mode thing and all

the only thing that happens is that the time/date gets messed up but XOS still boots normally

I wonder what's the real story behind this clock bug.....
